The quest is taken at Hardin’s Academy with lvl 50 from an NPC named Hardin (located inside the cave)
The quest is available for all races and classes.
1. Take the quest. We talk with the NPC. We are sent to Hunter's Village
2. In Hunter's Village we are looking for an NPC named Errickin (in the Dark Elves guild).
We talk with him... He sends us to the Forest of Mirror to kill monsters called Forest of Mirrors Ghost (the main concentration of mobs in the lowlands).
We need to knock out 35 pieces. "Ectoplasm" (name may not be correct).
3. Afterwards we return to NPC Errickin. He sends you back to NPC Hardin in Hardin's Academy.
4. This time Hardin will send you to Dion to the Dark Elves, to an NPC named Clayton. Talk to him. He will tell you to get 5 quest items called “Mordeo Crystals” (the name may not correspond) The items drop from the Mordeo mob of the same name in the Cruma Tower on the 1st floor.
We knock out 5 quest items. Attention: not every mob drops items (1 in 3 chance). After receiving the required quantity, we return to Dion to NPC Clayton. He sends you back to Hardin's Academy to see Hardin.
5. At Hardin’s Academy, we pass the quest from Hardin and receive the Book of Transformation.
What to do with it?
5.1 We go to the Ivory Tower on the floor to Humanam, there is an NPC there who allows you to teach transformation. Let's learn... voila... now you can turn into a cat.

So there are 8 types of transformation in total, therefore 8 books are needed.

Purchasing Tome of Transformation from Guild Adventurer requires Crystal of Life and Adena. Non-combat transformation can be achieved by attaching the talisman to the bracelet. Talismans for non-combat transformations can be obtained from Rainbow Clan Hall or Wild Beast Reserve.

- Hardin, a Necromancer Grand Master is heavily involved in researching Necromancy Magic, has discovered polymorph magic, the ability to transform someone's appearance. However, he is having difficulty stabilizing the soul of the subject of the magic. Listen to his story and find a way to help.

The quest description is relevant for all updates from Interlude to High Five.
1. The transformation quest begins at Hardin's Academy (Hardin Academy)
at Hardin (Hardin)

6. Having collected the required number of items, you will need to return to Clayton and get from him the Blank Sealbook (Blank Book of Transformation), with which you need to return to Hardin, from whom you took this quest, and receive as a reward Transformation Sealbook: Onyx Beast (Book Transformation into Onyx Beast). This will complete the transformation quest.

10. Teleport from Oren to the Ivory Tower (Ivory Tower), look for Master of Transformations Vanguard, we learn transformation from him. Now you can turn into a cat.

More than it seems
The quest is taken at level 50 from the Hardin, which stands naturally in its private academy, and in Hardin private academy from Giran, Oren or Hunters.
As usual in such cases, Hardin will babble for a long time about the fact that he invented a system of transformations, and in order to understand it, you need to run a little (well, as usual).
First, we go to Hunter Village and look for the NPC Errickin in the Dark Magic Guild, who needs to bring 35 vials of ectoplasm, from which he will create stabilized ectoplasm. We go to Forrest of Mirror (TP from Hunter or Aden), from the teleport point we go down to the river and run to the right along the road to the first clearing, where we find Mirror mobs or various ghosts. All these mobs drop a quest item, from 1 to 3 pieces. We collect the required amount and return to Errikin
We return to Hardin, he will praise you for your zeal and send you to Dion to Magister Clayton, who will help you craft a clean book of transformations. We find Clayton in the guild of dark magicians of Dion.
Clayton is also no fool, he’s always happy to use someone else’s workforce, so we go from him to Plants of Dion (TP from Dion, naturally), and right next to the TP we hit the Glass Jaguar mobs, in total we need 5 items, quickly fill them up and return. Clayton makes us a book and sends it back to Hardin...
Hardin does a little magic and gives us a bottle of steaming, stinking liquid to drink. And why is everything healthy so unappetizing? We drink, they announce to us that our training is completed, they give us a scroll of transformation into Onyx Beast and kick us out of the cave (you see, we smell bad. Yeah, he himself forced us to drink who knows what). It’s good that they at least hinted that scrolls should be added to the book for transformations on the second floor of Ivory Tower at the Avant-Garde SPC.
