However, in critical cases the thing can be useful; I used this method to translate Japanese inscriptions on the refrigerator.

In general, Yandex.Translate is no different from Google Translate. It also offers translations from/to dozens of languages; some languages have voice acting. The main difference is that Yandex.Translator has two modes: translation of texts and translation of web pages.
Translation of texts it works like in Google with the only difference that if you translate one word, then not a translation will appear, but a short dictionary entry, like in Lingvo, but with a minimum of information.
