Paragliding training. Paragliding training Paragliding Paragliding training

The paragliding school provides training in paragliding and paramotoring under general and special training programs

Our programs are based on the experience of training paragliding pilots in the Horizon Skywalker Club, which has been training paraplein pilots since 1991 and is focused on acquiring full-fledged skills in paragliding wing control and flying in updrafts

Programs

  • Theoretical course "Theoretical training program"
  • The course "Amateur Pilot" - a basic course for the development and strengthening of the skills of starting from mountains and mechanized means, as well as maneuvering, is equivalent to the initial level of the III-rd sports category in paragliding;
  • The course "Soaring" is the first stage of training of professional paragliding pilots, it consists of two basic elements "Soaring in a dynamic flow" and "Soaring in a thermal flow", the passage of these steps is equivalent to the upper level of the III - Initial level of the II sports paragliding category ;
  • The course "Special Flight Modes" - a course on special paragliding flight modes (Simulation of Flight Incidents - SIV), consists of two sets of exercises, the first of which is performed above the ground, the second above the water surface.

The main features of education in our School

  • The effectiveness of classes is achieved by selecting the appropriate weather conditions for each exercise and the parallel study of the necessary theoretical knowledge together with a number of practical trainings.
  • During the initial training, the student maintains constant contact with the instructor assigned to him.
  • Classes are held in groups of 3-4 people, which allows you to analyze the mistakes of others and allows the instructor to pay enough attention to each student.
  • For non-resident students, classes are provided at training camps.
  • The use of interactive Internet tools makes it possible to reduce the time for clarifying theoretical issues.
  • The process is considered as a continuous improvement of skills, for which there are trips to training camps, courses on special flight modes.
  • After leaving school, graduates, being members of the Horizon club, receive regular flights, registration of flight documents and sports categories, and advanced training courses.

Theory

The volume of necessary theoretical questions according to the basic program of theoretical training is structured in such a way as to focus on the most essential theoretical concepts and skills. In the classroom, it is proposed to solve practical problems of aerodynamics and the theory of paragliding flight. The basic theory course is held once a year by the best instructors of the club, mostly with professional training in their field. In order not to lose flight time, the theoretical course is held during the off-season, usually the end of October-November.

Practice

When using methodological techniques developed as a result of the training of paraglider pilots in the Horizon Club since 1991, and allowing not only to effectively teach how to handle a paraglider wing, but also to develop and consolidate the feeling of the wing, which is so necessary when taking off and flying in difficult conditions.

Internet use

Using the opportunities and access to the closed parts of the forum, students get the opportunity to get acquainted with the most frequent questions on the theory that arise when learning to fly a paraglider and the further operation of a paraglider, as well as get comprehensive answers to questions on the theory and practice of operating a paraglider.

Paragliding Club

Cross-country paragliding requires a large amount of knowledge and experience to fly safely and fly long distances using updrafts.
It can be realistic to transfer the entire amount of knowledge and skills in two to three months of classes, but it takes much more time to master the material.
Sometimes to come on the road to remember what was said at the theoretical classes on the theory of flight, sometimes the flight conditions may differ from ideal - in this case it is always useful to fly in the Club - in the circle of colleagues, friends, like-minded people.
Real professional growth is possible only with constant communication and flights with more experienced paragliding pilots and the accumulation of flight experience.
That is why the Club conducts not only initial training, but also regular trips that require the development of flight skills in dynamic or mountainous conditions. Pilots of the level of the second sports category take part in Russian competitions, traditional Club competitions are held.

We will teach you how to fly in 10 days and help you buy your own paraglider

2 in 1 flight training course at pilot school website

you can start today!

What does 2 in 1 mean? Most schools that provide training on the flats separate training in dynamic updraft flight at a slope or in the mountains into a separate course and, accordingly, at a separate cost. Often because they physically have nowhere to teach this. We immediately teach you how to fly in the mountains, so you get the skills of both courses for the price of one.

Is this course right for you?

This course is suitable if you:

Do you want to learn how to fly quickly?
You have the opportunity to come for 7-10 days to the Caucasus
You can allocate now 2 free evenings a week for 1.5 months to study the theoretical part

Especially for you, we have developed a basic flight training course that allows you to master a paraglider in less than 10 days. Only sometimes it takes a little more time.

Can anyone fly paragliding?

Yes, almost everyone can learn to paragliding!

And rest assured that you too can fly if:

  1. Do you want to fly
  2. The state of your health and physical fitness allows you to drive a car without the image of the road sign 8.17 on the glass of your car
  3. You have 7-10 days of free time during the warm season to devote them to gaining practical paragliding skills

If these 3 conditions match, then you will be able to fly just like we do and all those we have taught.

In general, most students master paragliding control in a week. One of the reasons for this is that the paraglider is the slowest of the controlled aircraft, which can fly normally even without the participation of a pilot. Both men and women aged 14 to 80 fly on paragliders. And the second reason is without a doubt the training experience of our instructors.

But, if you decide to paragliding, then be prudent and be careful not to make the first flights on your own without the supervision of an instructor!

You need to learn to fly only in a good paragliding club or school

And there are many reasons for this, which can be combined into the following 3 theses:

  1. Classes with a good instructor will cost an order of magnitude cheaper than the services of a surgeon or traumatologist
  2. A good school will have a good instructor
  3. A good instructor will select the right equipment for training

Criteria for choosing a paragliding school

  1. At the school, instructors strive to comply with international training requirements.
  2. At school you can get a certificate, or better an international license.

If all these conditions are met, then such a school deserves your attention.

In addition, there are still enough nuances that are worth talking about, but we will leave these topics for study in our classes so as not to overload with information now.

Therefore, we recommend that you start today by studying the theoretical block of the basic course of study. This block of 14 lessons is studied at our school remotely. In any case, it will be useful to you in whatever school you study.

To apply and start studying the theoretical block, fill out and send

Cost of basic course options

The cost of training starts from 35000 r. and varies to a large extent on whether you want to learn on school equipment or purchase your own and start learning on it. And also the theoretical part of the basic online course has been completed or not yet. Additional information for making a decision on the training option can be obtained by calling +7-917-33-44-962

Humanity has been looking up into the sky since its inception, dreaming of flying. Modern achievements of civilization, it would seem, fulfilled this dream. We have planes and helicopters that can lift to unimaginable heights, move over vast distances in a matter of hours. But all this pales in comparison with the sensations that a person experiences for the first time. There is no cockpit, no windows, no roar of engines, only the wind and an absolute sense of freedom, a sense of flight. And to achieve this, you need to take paragliding training courses.

What is a paraglider

A paraglider looks very similar to a parachute, but has several significant differences. Its wing is much longer with a more even surface, in contrast to the parachute wing, which is divided into special sections, due to which the fall is braked. A paraglider does not fall, but it flies using ascending air currents. Having caught the flow, an experienced pilot can be in the air for hours, and sometimes even more, can cover distances of hundreds of kilometers from the take-off point.

Who can paragliding

Paragliding is a very democratic sport that is accessible to most people. Paragliding school accepts children from the age of 16 (with the consent of the parents, from 18 it is no longer required), there are quite old people who are seriously interested in this sport, not to mention young guys and girls. Such flights do not impose serious requirements for physical fitness, it is enough to have good coordination and reaction of an average person, and, of course, it is necessary and simply necessary to undergo training at a specialized school. Self-training in paragliding is unacceptable, because even the slightest mistake will put at stake not only the health, but also the life of the pilot.

How to learn to fly

Learning to fly is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. First you need to come to a flight school, whose specialization is training in paragliding.

Paragliding training is divided into several stages. Of course, no one will be allowed into the sky right away. First, future paragliders take a theoretical course in aerodynamics, where they study and how to use them.

Airflow types

A dynamic air flow, or speaker, occurs at some natural elevation, for example, a high and steep hill or a steep bank with a strong wind blowing in its direction. The air mass, meeting an obstacle on its way, is forced to rise up, thus creating an upward flow. Dynamics are often used by inexperienced pilots and novice pilots because they are easy to predict, their location is always easy to determine, and they form at any time of the year. But along with the obvious advantages, such streams also have their drawbacks: the height of the rise is small (maximum two slope heights), binding to one territory (i.e. the paraglider cannot fly far from the slope), the need for a strong wind, when it subsides, the stream disappears.

The second type of updraft is thermal. It occurs in sunny summer weather. The sun heats the earth's surface unevenly due to its heterogeneity; over warmer areas, the air rises faster and a thermal flow, or thermal, occurs. Thermal paragliding will be very high, up to the clouds or even higher, in addition, the pilot can change from one stream to another, while flying huge distances. But this type of flow is more difficult to handle, more unpredictable and only used by experienced paragliders. In addition, such flights in Russia are available only in summer, when solar activity is at its peak, in winter thermals are not formed.

Having studied the materiel, future athletes analyze in theory the difficult situations that may arise during the flight, because by simulating various difficulties on the ground and solving them, they will be able to save their lives if such problems arise in the air.

ground training

Ground training is one of the most important parts of paragliding training. The beginner learns to lift the canopy from the ground, to feel its behavior in the wind, the reaction of the wing to air filling.

Simple aerobatics

Paragliding requires the ability to land exactly in the intended place. Therefore, in the flight training program there is a special exercise called “target landing”. Thanks to this exercise, the athlete learns to calculate the trajectory of his wing and correct it in time. Until he learns to land right on target, he will not be allowed to the next stage.

Complex aerobatics

At the stage of complex aerobatics, students perform two main exercises - this is intensive maneuvering and turning up the paraglider canopy. Paragliding is a little stressful for a beginner. After all, the earth is not always strictly under your feet, but the sky is above your head. During the first exercise, the body and the vestibular apparatus get used to the new conditions. The athlete makes turns, tilts, creates sharp rolls. The second exercise is designed to work out the situation of folding the dome with a sharp change in the characteristics of the ascending air flow. Having worked out such a situation to automaticity under normal conditions, he will effortlessly cope with it in a soaring flight.

Floating in the air

Paragliding means flying or soaring, and not descending from any height to the ground. Of course, this stage of paragliding training is the most enjoyable for future pilots, but also the most responsible. It is taught to fly for a long time, fly in a group and fly in a thermal flow.

If everything is more or less clear with the first point, then the second point gives a lot of unpleasant minutes to beginners. After all, they began their training while in the air one by one, and here are several pilots at once, sometimes moving along different trajectories.

Having learned to fly in dynamic flow, pilots gradually test their skills in thermal flying in the morning, when the flow has not reached its full strength and the turbulence is not as active as at noon. Having become accustomed to the turbulence of the thermal flow, the pilot can begin to fly to the route. This is where his training ends and he continues to build up his experience on his own.

Thus, it is accessible to everyone and, having completed flight training, anyone will be able to take to the skies and experience the indescribable sensations of flight.

Almost any healthy person without external manifestations of unreasonableness and not heavier than two hundred kilograms, who consciously expressed a desire for these activities.

How is paragliding taught?

Classes are divided into practical and theoretical in the club. Practical classes are held in the field, on a hill, using a winch. Theoretical classes are held at the club on Thursdays. In addition, the club conducts practical training on the simulator.

Training on the simulator

The first practical lesson in the field or on the hill is preceded by classes on the simulator. On the simulator, the suspension system is studied, the habit is developed to fasten all the locks, to sit correctly in the suspension system. The student learns to fasten the belts "in the air". Then we start practicing the paraglider control skills with the help of weight transfer in the harness, tell and show how to control the paraglider, the student performs turns on the simulator until the correct result is obtained.
Training sessions on the simulator are also carried out in the future to correct control skills and active piloting on the days of theoretical classes or on weekends when the club does not go on flights due to weather conditions.

Theoretical lessons

Theoretical classes are held on Thursdays and include 5 main topics that are given over 7-10 lessons. Lectures are read in a circle, the same topics are considered in different ways and are designed, if the listeners wish, to listen to several times. Classes also include reports of paragliders or hang gliders about flights in different flying places, viewing photos, video materials. The main classes are conducted by: Semenov Alexey, Malev Mikhail. Specialists in this topic can also be invited to individual classes.

Workshops

The method of paragliding training allows you to focus on the most important skills of paragliding piloting. see link: "Exercise setting and equipment used in paragliding training..."

The main emphasis is placed on the individual system of training.

For initial training using a winch, modern certified paragliders are used: bodygard.
In the first lessons on the ground, when the student has the technique of working with the canopy, paragliders are used. Hunter, Oniks, Tornado, which are not used for winch flights.

Flights are made with radio stations. The instructor, gradually reducing the student's guidance on the radio station, teaches him to rely only on himself in the air.

All harnesses used in winch training are equipped with reserve parachutes.

The school has experience teaching disabled people. But this is a special conversation and requires individual consultation.

Where are the practical exercises?

In Moscow

Basic paragliding training is done using an active winch.

The paragliding school also travels to the hills of Moscow or the Moscow suburbs, mainly in winter.

In addition, the school travels in the summer to Yutsu and Gagra, where the students of the school continue their education. It is possible to study only on trips, in this case the intensity increases and the course of initial training can be completed in one trip.

There are also classes on weekdays on the hills. We are interested in the fastest completion of training by students. Therefore, if you want to practice on weekdays, you only need to coordinate the day and time with the instructor, because for instructors, this may not be their only job.

On the road

In the summer, the school travels to Yutsu, where elementary education continues. By the end of Yuca, some of the students are finishing their primary education. After Yutsa, the school usually goes to Gagra to swim in the sea, where only those who have completed their initial training and at the discretion of the instructor with control at the start and landing with constant radio communication are allowed to fly from top to bottom.
We used to go to Nizhny Novgorod in winter, but for several years now such trips have not been held.
In addition to Yuca, the school constantly travels to other places, but these trips take place outside the elementary education course.

flight book

At the first lessons you are given a flight book. In it you record all your flights. At the end of the initial training course, you are assigned the 3rd sports category and permission to fly in dynamics (flying in flow flows, i.e. an updraft is formed near the slides on the windward side, in which a paraglider can fly for hours), a seal and signature are put.

the MAI aragliding school as part of the MAI hang gliding club "Deltaplan", has the right to appoint instructors and train pilots.
