In 1767, he was recruited to work on the "Commission for the drafting of a new Code", an important legal and philosophical document of the 18th century, which consolidated the foundations of an "enlightened monarchy". In 1754 he received the first rank of lieutenant and was assigned to the Ingermanland Infantry Regiment. From 1756 to 1758 he served in the Military Collegium. The beginning of Suvorov's military activity refers to the Seven Years' War. In 1758 he was transferred to the active army and appointed commandant of Memel, from 1759 an officer in the main apartment of the Russian active army. Suvorov participated in his first skirmish on July 25, 1759, when, with a squadron of dragoons, he attacked and put to flight the German dragoons. In 1794, as a battalion commander, he took part in hostilities against the Polish rebels, and for the special distinctions shown during the storming of the fortifications of Vilnius and the defeat of the Grabovsky detachment near Grodno, he was awarded the Order of St. George 4th Art. He was then promoted to lieutenant colonel with a transfer to the Estland Chasseur Corps, was appointed commander of the 1st battalion, renamed during the accession of Paul I to the 4th Jaeger Regiment. On June 22, 1941, German soldiers attacked the Soviet Union. Thus began the Great Patriotic War. Our country had to fight a very strong and cruel enemy. People from all cities of Russia rushed to her defense. It was hard in bay. The call “Everything for the front! Everything for victory!” sounded in those cruel years. The fate of the country was decided not only on the battlefield. People worked tirelessly so that the front received the latest weapons, for example: machine guns, planes, tanks.
